AWARDS OF 16th GOLDEN BOLL FILM FESTIVAL

16th Golden Boll Film Festival started on 8th of June and ended on 13rd of June with the award ceremony in Central Park Amphitheater. In the ceremony, awards for the National Feature Films Competition, National Students' Films Competition and Mediterranean Countries Short Films Competition were given to the winners.

The jury of National Feature Films Competition worked under the presidency of film director Nuri Bilge Ceylan; jury members were actor Bulut Aras, author and screenplay writer Firuzan, musician Mazlum Çimen, actress Meltem Cumbul, director Özcan Alper, actress Özgü Namal, director of photography Uğur İçbak, cinema writer and scholar Prof. Dr. Zeynep Tül Akbal Süalp. The Best Film Award was shared by two films; "The Man On The Bridge" by Aslı Özge and "10 to 11" by Pelin Esmer.

Grand Jury Yılmaz Güney Award was given to "Two Languages and a Suitcase" which is directed by Orhan Eskiköy and Özgür Doğan. Public Jury Award was given to "Momo-My Sister" which is directed by Atalay Taşdiken. Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun received "Best Director Award" with his film "Remote Possibility".

Best Actress Award was given to Görkem Yeltan for her performance in "Remote Possibility". Best Actor Award was given to Nadir Sarıcabacak for his performance in "Remote Possibility". 

The Award ceremony of 16th Golden Boll Film Festival which is realized by Metropol Municipality of Adana was on 13rd of June in Central Park Amphitheater. The event was presented by Şebnem Dönmez and Ferhat Göçer gave a little concert of soundtracks. The event was started by Red Carpet Ceremony and beginning from 21:00 hours it is broadcast live by Channel 1.

THE CHAMPIONS OF GOLDEN BOLL ARE

"THE MAN ON THE BRIDGE" AND "10 TO 11"

The Best Film Award was shared by two films; "The Man On The Bridge" by Aslı Özge and "10 to 11" by Pelin Esmer. Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun received Best Director Award with his film "Remote Possibility".  Grand Jury Yılmaz Güney Award was given to "Two Languages and a Suitcase" which is directed by Orhan Eskiköy and Özgür Doğan. Public Jury Award was given to "Momo-My Sister" which is directed by Atalay Taşdiken.

Best Director of Photography Award was given to Erkan Özcan for his work in "The Haze" and to Özgür Eken for his work in "The Milk". Best Screenplay Award was given to Pelin Esmer for her work in "10 to 11". Best Edition Award was given to Franck Nakache for his work in "The Chest of Pandora".

Best Supporting Actress Award was given to Tülin Özen for her performance in "Conscience". Best Supporting Actor Award was shared by Mustafa Uzun for his performance in "Momo-My Sister" and Osman Sonant for his performance in " The Chest of Pandora". Best Director of Art Award  was given to Serdar Yılmaz  for his work in "Shadowless People". Best Music Award was given to Nail Yurtsever for his work in "Eight Days of Dilber".

Promising Young Actress Award was given to Asiye Dinçsoy for her performance in " Salt Of The Life". Promising Young Actor Award was given to Melih Selçuk for his performance in "The Milk".

The Jury of National Feature Films Competition decided not to give any awards in Best Laboratory category.

SİYAD (Cinema Writers Association) SAID "TWO LANGUAGES AND A SUITCASE"

The members of SİYAD Jury in 16th Golden Boll Film Festival, National Feature Films Competition were the cinema writers Özgür Şeyben, Uğur Vardan and Yusuf Güven. The Jury decided to give "SIYAD Best Film Award" to "Two Languages and a Suitcase" which is directed by Orhan Eskiköy and Özgür Doğan.

Grand Jury Best Film Award winner will receive 250.000 TL, Grand Jury Yılmaz Güney Award winner will receive 50.000 TL, Best Director Award winner will receive 50.000 TL, Best Screenplay Award winner will receive 15.000 TL, Best Director of Photography Award winner will receive 15.000 TL, Best Music Award winner will receive 15.000 TL and Public Jury Award winner will receive 50.000 TL.
