A lonely, homeless woman is digging through rubbish bins on a cold winter night. While doing her rounds she finds a pair of ice skates. At the edge of town she dances in her ‘new skates’ on frozen river.

Alla Churikova was born in Russia, grew up in Ukraine and lives in Germany since 2000. From 1986 till 2000 she was an animator at the ‘Ukrainafilm’ Film Studio. Since 2000, Churikova works as an animator and background artist at German animation studios like Balance Film, Cartoon-Film, Munich Animation, and Animoto.
