CINEMA WIND BLOWED FROM THE SOUTH

15TH ALTIN KOZA FILM FESTIVAL WHICH CONVERTED ADANA INTO A CENTER WHERE CINEMA'S HEART BEATED BROKE THE AUDIENCE RECORD

15th Altın Koza Film Festival which held between 2nd - 8th June and converted Adana into a center where cinema's heart beated for a week has ended. During the festival which meet the selected examples of the Turkish and World cinema with the audience hundred thousand people met with cinema...
 
The fifteenth of Altın Koza Film Festival which is one of the most important festivals of our country blowed a cinema wind in Adana. During the festival which meet selected examples of the Turkish and World cinema with the audience, 176 films have been featured in 217 sessions of 9 cinema saloons for a week. Festival met with hundred thousand people where sixty thousand of this quantity is made up of students who met with cinema in the concept of the “Schools are in the Cinema, Cinema is in the schools” project. Cinema fans filled in the cinema saloons and crams occured during the premieres of the films. Six hundred native or foreign cinema guests and national and international press guests visited Adana during the festival.
 
In the 15th Altın Koza Film Festival Lifetime Honorary Awards were given to director Halit Refiğ, actress Selda Alkor and to actor Halil Ergün. A Master in Turkish Cinema Award is given to Tuncel Kurtiz.
 
The Love Cortege of the festival was enthusiastic again just like the previous years. Sezen Aksu who was in the stage in the Cinema Solidarity Night was another name who shared the festival excitement of the Adana residents.
 
In the National Long Film Competition where 12 Turkish films which has been shot recently the Best Film Award has been given to Ozcan Alper's Sonbahar. The Great Jury Yılmaz Güney Special Award has been given to İnan Temelkuran's Made in Europe. Jury Special Award has been given to Özcan Alper who is the director of Sonbahar, to director of photography Feza Çaldıran and to director of art Canan Çayır. The Best Director Award of the festival has been given to İnan Temelkuran with his film Made in Europe.
 
The Best Director of Photography Award has been given to Ercan Yılmaz with Nokta; The Best Director of Art Award has been given to Selda Çiçek with Gölge, the Best Actress Award has been given both to Selen Uçar with Ara and to Ayça Damgacı with Gitmek.
 
The Best Actor Award has been given to the 18 actors of Made in Europe. The names of the winners of this award are: Teoman Kumbaracıbaşı, Murat Öncül, Ali Çelik, Murat Makçı, Murat Kılıç, Ruhi Sarı, Mustafa Kırantepe, Hasan Şahintürk, Barış Yıldız, Emin Gürsoy, İnan Temelkuran, Güven İnce, Kadir Çermik, Ali Rıza Kubilay, Öner Erkan, A. Mümtaz Taylan, İnan Ulaş Torun and Aykut Kayacık.
 
The Best Supporting Actress Award has been given to Megi Kobaladze with her performance in Sonbahar and The Best Supporting Actor Award has been given to Serkan Ercan with his performance in Gölge.
 
The Best Hopeful Young Actress Award has been given to Şenay Aydın with Saklı Yüzler and the Best Young Actor Award in the same category has been given to Kaya Akkaya with Ulak.
 
The Best Scenario Award of the 15th Altın Koza Film Festival has been given to Ümit Ünal with Ara. The Best Music Award was given to Mazlum Çimen with Nokta and The Best Fiction Award was given to Çiçek Kahraman with Ara.
 
The Best Studio Award has been shared by 2/35 with Nokta and Zound with Beyaz Melek.
 
The Public Jury Award of the 15th Altın Koza Film Festival was given to Çağan Irmak with Ulak.

The 12 films which passed the pre-evaluation and came in front of the jury in the 15th Altın Koza Film Festival were;

THE NATIONAL LONG FILM COMPETITION JURY
 
The jury of the festival which has been led by Derya Alabora had the following members: Actress Başak Köklükaya, musician Cahit Berkay, director Ezel Akay, director of photography Hayk Kirakosyan, actress Lale Mansur, cinema writer Murat Özer, producer Sadık Deveci, director and scenarist Sırrı Süreyya Önder.
 
The Awards Ceremony of the 15th Altın Koza Flm Festival was made in Metropolitan Municipality Theatre Saloon tonight at 20:00 p.m. The masters of the ceremony which was broadcasted live were Ayşe Nur Yazıcı and Emre Karayel.
